It's been almost exactly a year since Yo, the dead-simple messaging app for saying "yo," made headlines for its quick rise to the top of the App Store charts.
Now the app is moving into new territory with what its creator say is Yo's biggest update yet. The latest version of the app, which is available now on iOS, adds photo sharing, group messaging and the ability to send a yo to those who haven't yet downloaded the app.
Launch the app and the home screen looks much like previous versions with a list of your contacts. But swipe left from the home screen and the app automatically opens your phone's front-facing camera, along with a list of your contacts overlaid. Selecting a contact triggers the shutter and sends the selfie with just one touch.
