For more than a Tesla Model S, you could have purchased your own real, working light cycle.
On Saturday, one diehard Tron fan splurged $77,000 on an all-electric light cycle. The functional motor bike is a faithful replica of the vehicle used in the 2010 movie Tron: Legacy.
The light cycle was auctioned off by RM Sotheby's with original bidding prices said to have been set anywhere from $25,000 to $40,000.
The electric bike was designed for the Andrews Collection and was listed as "as-new condition."
According to the auction details, the light cycle contains a "96-volt, direct-drive electric motor with lithium batteries and a computer-controlled throttle, rebound and compression damping with spring-preload front suspension and rigid rear suspension, and front and rear hydraulic brakes."
